Sweater Candle Cozy

SAVE MONEY.  DECORATE.

So my husband is a bit picky when it comes to clothes and he changes what he likes quite often.  I got him a plain navy sweater a few years ago and well, I’m not sure he’s worn it more than once.  I finally put it in the garage sale pile and knew that we would be lucky to sell it for $1 which is just a shame.

Anyway, I was having a hard time letting it go and then decided to make something out of it.  The color of the sweater matched perfectly with my winter snowman scene so I thought why not make a little cozy for some of my white candles downstairs.  This has to be one of the easiest projects I’ve ever did.  I love how they turned out!

Supplies:
  • old or unwanted sweater
  • scissors
  • candles
Game Plan:

1.  Use scissors to cut the sleeve of the sweater the size of the candle minus an inch or so.

2.  Pull the sweater sleeve over the candle so that the cut edge is at the base of the candle.
