Kitchen Renovation: New Dishwasher

Our dishwasher had been stinking for awhile, but luckily only when you ran a load.  It was bad enough though that we would make it a point to run it at night or when we wouldn’t be around so we wouldn’t have to smell the awful stench.  We had been wanting to get a new one but thought we might as well run this one into the dirt before we got a new one.

However, things changed when we decided to go ahead and put in hardwood floors.  The hardwood floors are going to be a little bit higher than the laminate floors we have, so we thought now was a good time to get a new dishwasher.

We went with a stainless steel Whirlpool dishwasher from Lowes.  We found it online on sale and then had a $20 coupon off too.  Now it matches with our microwave and oven which are also stainless steel.  The refrigerator is now the only appliance that isn’t stainless steel and as much as I would love to get a new one, the one we have now works just fine.  I’m sure it will be alone time before we get a new one!

In case you missed it, here are the changes we’ve made so far on our kitchen renovation:

What we have left to do:

  • Make and install curtains
  • Build casing around windows
  • new table (build or buy)
  • install wood flooring
  • install corner shelves
