DIY. SAVE MONEY.
With my friend Izzy’s wedding shower, I had the opportunity to make all sorts of vintage inspired decorations for it. It was a lot of fun and here’s how I took some plain jane bud vases from my wedding and changed them up to add a vintage feel for Izzy’s wedding shower.
Supplies:
- Mod Podge
- Bud vases
- burlap
- ribbon/fabric
- sewing pattern
- scissors
Game Plan:
1. Cover the outside of a bud vase with Mod Podge.
2. Wrap the bud vase with an old sewing pattern. Let dry.
You could also use sheet music or newspaper but I prefer sewing patterns for this project so the light can shine through the translucent paper.
3. Cut a piece of burlap to wrap around the bud vase.
4. Cut a piece of fabric or ribbon to tie around the burlap and bud vase.
I love the way these vintage inspired bud vases create a soft glow!
