SAVE MONEY.
Most people try not to judge a book by it’s cover, but when it comes to receiving a gift, it’s almost impossible! I would say that a gift’s wrapping is really almost half of the gift! I know, that percentage my be a stretch but if you think about when you’ve received a gift, before you even open it you have feelings based on the packaging.
For example, if I had two identical gifts before me, but one was wrapped in a Wal-Mart sack and the other was nestled in a wicker basket filled with paper shavings, wrapped with cellophane, and tied at the top with a satin blue ribbon, I would choose the package in the basket hands down. I think it’s safe to say most people would.
You can make a gift appear to be expensive and thoughtful just be putting some time and effort into the wrapping of it. I was so excited when my friend Tammy taught us to make these cute paper gift boxes at a MOMs Bible study about a year ago. I went home that day and made a ton more! They’re easy to make and are a great way to package small gifts such as money, gift cards, or candy.
