Since this month is all about love, I had to take the time today to post about a book (although it is so much more than a book and the best part isn’t even the book) I just can’t say enough about.
Simply Romantic Nights is more like a little love box than a book. The book comes in a box with 24 sealed envelopes in it also. The envelopes have romantic adventures for him/her inside. Everything is planned and laid out for you, all you have to do is pick a date and do the work. It also includes little date night stickers that make it easy to help you plan and let your spouse know about upcoming date nights so he/she can be looking forward to them.
A woman in a Bible study several years ago shared about it and good friends of ours got it for us. It was just what we needed. I have to say, Jeff and I are both romantics at heart and we used to put a lot of effort into doing romantic things for one another while dating and as newlyweds.
Then kids came along and I guess that energy and effort we used to put into making each other feel special and loved is now sucked up by caring for them. Don’t get me wrong, kids are definitely worth it and I wouldn’t change anything. However, I do miss the romance and no longer find it coming naturally to me anymore. It is now something we both must work at and plan (which kinda takes the romance out of it a bit).
Anyway, I love Simply Romantic Nights because it makes romance possible for those with busy schedules or kids, perhaps those who have lost their romantic spark, and even for those who don’t have a clue about romance. It’s pretty much fool-proof and it really is a great way to help create intimacy and reignite the passion in your marriage.
Up until Valentine’s Day, I plan on sharing a couple of the ideas from the book with you either for you to steal and put your own spin on it or to entice you to buy Simply Romantic Nights to get all the great romantic ideas included in the kit. I think this would make a great wedding gift or even a baby gift for someone else too.
