1. Caterpillar Invitation
I made some antennas to put on Owen and then used photoshop to make an invitation for the party.
2. Caterpillar Cake
Check back for the instructions to make the caterpillar cake tomorrow.
3. Egg Carton Caterpillars & Bugs
A simple, fun, and easy to put together craft. Come back for the how-to on Tuesday.
4. Balloon Caterpillar
I simply blew up some green balloons and used tacks to attach them to the fence. I used markers to draw the face on. It’s not the best looking caterpillar, but the kids seemed to like it! I tried to put some antennas on the balloon but only managed to pop it. It was a last minute thing and I couldn’t think up anything in time. Have any ideas?
5. Dirt Pudding
Check back on Monday to get this recipe.
6. Dirt & Caterpillar Cupcakes
These were easy to make because I had everything I already needed. I just used some leftover icing from the cake and leftover Oreos and gummy caterpillars from the dirt pudding.
7. Bug Accents and Snacks
I used some McDonald’s toys from A Bug’s Life and Bee Movie to decorate the table. I also put some gummy worms in glasses for everyone to snack on.
8. Caterpillar Favors
For favors, each of the kids got a rubber caterpillar to take home in addition to their egg carton caterpillars and bugs.
